Taking over the Villa Noailles, this party takes shape through soft, enveloping and luminous architectural-furniture. Every detail of the room references the identity elements of the South that marked me deeply during the summer of my eighth year, spent with family in Provence.
This is thus the dream pyjama party I never had with my sisters, imbued with joy and nostalgia, where memories mingle to create a moment of sharing. The large woven baskets, the flowers, the warm light, the terrace tables, cushions everywhere for pillow fights, Provençal fabrics, towering pieces of furniture adopting a child’s perspective, pyjamas and four-poster beds, compose a domestic and vernacular landscape reinterpreted as an affective and inviting cartography.
At the heart of the project, the Indiennes d’Arles ; textile craftsmanship recognised throughout the world ; are here honoured and fully experienced as we are immersed in a manifest solar yellow: the pattern becomes a space to inhabit; the colour, a celebration to share.
