Q&A

1. Questions / Answers

Why has entrance to the exhibitions become paid this year?

Since July 1st, 2025, access to the exhibitions at the Villa Noailles is subject to an admission fee. This change reflects a desire to:

  • Maintain an ambitious and accessible program, with rates adapted to priority audiences
  • Diversify sources of funding to ensure the sustainability of cultural activities
  • Highlight the work of the artists and the team

What does the admission ticket include?

The ticket grants access to all current exhibitions at the Villa, whether permanent or temporary, depending on the schedule at the time of the visit.
It includes:

  • Access to indoor and outdoor exhibitions
  • Artistic installations
  • Free access to the Villa Noailles gardens, the bookstore/gift shop, and the reception area

Please note: The ticket does not guarantee access to the sports platform, which is occasionally open depending on the season or the programming. This space is only included when an exhibition is presented within it.

Why is there no senior discount?

The reduced rate is primarily intended for audiences for whom financial support is most relevant (students, recipients of minimum social benefits, young people, job seekers, etc.).

Age alone is not a qualifying factor for the discounted rate, in order to focus efforts on individuals experiencing economic hardship or cultural exclusion.

TPM Metropolitan Area Resident Rate: Why is a library card required? Can I provide proof of residence instead?

The special rate for residents of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolitan Area is granted upon presentation of either:

  • Proof of residence, or
  • A library card from one of the cities within the TPM area

The library card allows for a simple, standardized, and free way to verify residency.

Does the ticket give access to all Villa Noailles spaces, including the sports platform?

The ticket provides access to exhibitions and cultural areas open to the public.
The sports platform, an iconic space at the Villa, is not always accessible as it may be:

  • Under installation or dismantling
  • Reserved for specific events
  • Closed for technical or safety reasons

Access to this space is therefore not guaranteed and is not included in the ticket. We recommend contacting the Villa by phone or email ahead of your visit if you wish to specifically know whether the sports platform will be accessible.

Does the ICOM card entitle me to a reduced rate?

Yes.
Holders of a valid ICOM card (International Council of Museums) are eligible for the free rate.
