The Ibuju furniture collection takes advantage of the yaré, an endemic and renewable plant fibre, to promote local crafts and raise awareness of the overexploited Amazon Rainforest.

Little known to city dwellers, this climbing plant, processed just like rattan, is used by the populations in southern Colombia for basketwork. Here, the yaré is used to produce a bench, a table, and a stool whose aesthetic evokes the massive pieces of rustic houses. The cylindrical form of the logs is reinterpreted by the weaving of the vines, suitable for traditional production methods and providing lightness.
