This pantry appears as an alternative to the energy-intensive refrigerator, both in its production and in its use. An autonomous object on a human scale, it is inspired by the principles of architecture and uses the resources available in contemporary houses. It consists of compartments made of materials with a high inertia power – hollow brick and granite – allowing to maintain a stable temperature. The cold-water circuit is diverted to cool the pantry whenever it is activated in the house. No exclusive energy supply is therefore required.
