With advances in virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, avatars could dominate social interactions in both online and real spaces, allowing individuals to express themselves freely. Augmented reality superimposes digital content onto the real world, blurring the line between reality and virtuality. Individuals and cities will enhance their appearance and environment with virtual elements, encouraging creativity and identity exploration.
These silhouettes are first created using artificial intelligence tools, then refined and stylised to blend reality and artificiality, personality and humanity, clothing and its digital representation—a fashion for a fantasy society where the digital world reigns supreme, where individuals identify more with computer-generated imagery (CGI) celebrities than with real people, and where the limits of what is possible are pushed to the extreme.
