Known for his innovative approach to furniture design, Simon Stanislawski aims to expand his Softy Family collection in new and exciting ways.
The Softy Family comprises furniture pieces handcrafted from recycled materials, with a focus on repurposing old polyurethane foam mattresses. The designer adds elements such as wire and rope to deform the material, and hold it in place, then coats the creations with polyurethane for durability. Simon Stanislawski unveils two armchairs and a coffee table. The armchair design is an evolution of the chocolate brown chair he made previously.
Simon’s creations celebrate the beauty of chance and craft, with the aim of evoking joy and wonder. This feeling arises when users notice that objects that look very hard are actually comfortable and soft.
In terms of aesthetics, the pieces will feature vibrant hues of bright orange, lilac, and rose, adding a playful and whimsical touch to any space.
