Fashion competition

The fashion jury is presided over by Jonathan Anderson.
The jury met in Paris at, Lucien Pagès office, on January 20, 2020 in order to choose the 10 finalists of the competition (370 entries received from over 60 nationalities, 63 shortlisted).

The jury has chosen ten fashion designers from 5 nationalities. Their collections will be presented during 3 fashion shows, open to the public and to the professionnals, directed by Maida Grégory-Boina. The collections will also be presented in showrooms during the festival, then in a collective exhibition in the villa Noailles till May 24th, 2020.

GRAND PRIX OF THE JURY PREMIÈRE VISION

A Festival partner since 2011, Première Vision is sponsoring the Grand Prix of the Jury for the 8th consecutive year supporting them in their collection development and production.

The Grand Prix of the jury Première Vision consists of:

A grant of 20 000 euros offered by Première Vision and a high level of visibility at Première Vision Paris show in September.

The opportunity to undertake a project with CHANEL’s Métiers d’art, up to 20 000 euros.

CHLOÉ PRIZE

For the Chloé Prize, the finalists will design in addition to the 7 silhouettes from their collection, one silhouette faithful to the Chloé tradition.
The Chloé Prize consists of a grant of 20 000 euros.

PRIX 19M DES MÉTIERS D’ART DE CHANEL

The Prix 19M des Métiers d’art will be awarded to the best collaboration between the ten finalists and the Métiers d’Art of Chanel. The awarded finalist will benefit from a grant of 20 000 euros for the realization of a new design project to be displayed the following year.

Other special mentions could be awarded by the fashion jury.

Fashion grants

The Galeries Lafayette Prize rewards the finalist who’s work embodies the creative energy advocated by the brand.

Swarovski will support the fashion prize finalists by providing a generous selection of crystals for their collections and the opportunity to discover Swarovski’s headquarters and archives in Austria.

-Mercedes-Benz hosted a sustainability masterclass for this year’s fashion finalists. Mercedes-Benz will integrate the finalist, who best incorporates eco-sustainable practices in their work, within one of its 2021 fashion initiatives.

SUPIMA is official partner of the Hyeres Festival, and will support the finalists of the contest « fashion » section with a donation of SUPIMA cotton. These looks made with SUPIMA cotton will be presented at the SUPIMA DESIGN LAB 2020 Event during the Ready-to-wear Paris Fashion Week in September.

Eyes on Talents offers to all awarded designers a dedicated communication towards Eyes on Talents member brands and its community.

Puntoseta offers to all awarded designers an original printed fabric.

Catwalkpictures.com offers to all the award winners the pictures of their first fashion show in Paris.

Premiere Classe will welcome the Formers finalists of the Festival in a special showroom during the Paris Fashion Week in September offering them a great visibility for their business development.

EXCEPTION will offer to the finalist of its choice solid opportunities of work and exposures in China, with projects on agreed topics.

Aymeric Le Deun workshop, L’atelier Aymeric Le Deun, specialist in buttons and fabric or leather covered fashion accessories, support the finalists by offering them the production of buttons for their collections.
