40 YEARS OF FASHION IN HYÈRES

To celebrate the 40th edition of the Hyères Festival, the Villa Noailles is showcasing 40 years of fashion: clothing, photographs, accessories, and films to trace the history of a pioneering event that has become an international reference. The exhibition features the early collections of young designers who are now (very) famous, photographs of jury members at work or on the beach, and significant artistic collaborations. Forty years of fashion shows, parties, concerts, exhibitions, and encounters. Delving into the archives of the Hyères Festival also highlights the artistic, industrial, and commercial evolution of a creative fashion that has gradually carved its place within the profession, the media, and the general public.
In many ways, the festival has been at the heart of the changes in contemporary fashion for 40 years, both announcing and provoking them. A breeding ground for young talent, a showcase and milestone, it has established itself as a central hub of creation since its very first edition.
