“Productions récentes” par Ronan Bouroullec

As part of Design Parade Hyères, Villa Noailles is showing Recent Productions, chapter three of the triptych of exhibitions on the work of Ronan Bouroullec, from 24 June to 3 September 2023.

Twenty-five years ago, Villa Noailles presented Ronan Bouroullec’s first solo exhibition, establishing a lasting bond.
Recent Productions presents Ronan Bouroullec’s latest projects, including some that were unveiled earlier this year, mass-produced pieces for everyday personal use, and new projects shown here for the first time: a range of textiles, lamps, vases, a candle-holder and a bud vase, and the model for the redesign of the ecclesiastical furniture for the Chapel of Mont Saint-Michel de Brasparts in Brittany.

For over 35 years Ronan Bouroullec has been designing distinctive objects that question the relationship between people and their interior environments, and considering public space through permanent installations.
Drawing, which he has practised daily since early childhood, constitutes the second component of his activity. The resulting forms and their colours have inspired three new ranges of textiles for Kvadrat, exhibited on screens specially designed for the purpose.

The verticality and slenderness of the screens are also apparent in the prototypes for the candle- holder and bud vase.
Italian ceramics are showcased. For the first time, lighting company Flos has produced a collection of three lamps in ceramic. With their enamelled finish, they are both distinctive and complementary to one another.

The model for the redesign of the ecclesiastical furniture for the Chapel of Mont Saint-Michel de Brasparts, in Brittany, is unveiled to the public here for the first time.
The projects making up this new exhibition illustrate the diversity of Ronan Bouroullec’s work.
