Projects by students from the Toulon Provence Méditerranée School of Art and Design - ESADTPM
Looking back at the project initiated by Jean-Marc Avrilla, the director of the ésadtpm, and supervised by Olivier Gassie and Patrick Sirot, teachers at the ésadtpm for EuroFabrique at the Grand Palais Ephémère from 7 to 10 February 2022, a meeting between 35 French and European schools as part of the French presidency of the European Union. The Ouxéxé project by the ésadtpm for Design Parade 2022 offers a look back at The New Grand Tour, a work undertaken by the students at the Higher School of Fine Arts and Design Toulon Provence Méditerranée and the AVU, the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, around language through a collective process between the different European cultures. It was about approaching the relationship to otherness through the ears, the eyes, the hands and starting an observation work, a sensitive and visual analysis of materials and the environment, through sound collecting, production and transcript. This project in progress designed by the students from both schools opened to European students gathered at the Grand Palais Éphémère, as well as to the public. Today, as part of the Design Parade 2022, building on this experience, it is about unfolding this laboratory, imagining other gestures to conceive and create again devices, storylines, machines, tools, therefore feeding a glossary of singular forms and actions through experimentation.
