History
Since 2016, Villa Noailles has embarked on a new initiative in Toulon dedicated to interior architecture and decoration, significant sectors in our history of decorative arts. In line with the festivals organized by Villa Noailles, Design Parade Toulon brings together several exhibitions alongside a competition aimed at revealing and supporting the young generation of interior architects, the first project of its kind in France. Through this platform, Villa Noailles hopes to enhance its support for young creators by fostering connections and exchanges among young designers, professionals, the public, and journalists.
THE DESIGN PARADE FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE FROM JUNE 26 TO 29, 2025
IN HYÈRES AND TOULON
The Festival presents 10 young international interior architects selected by a prestigious jury, chaired in previous years by India Mahdavi, Vincent Darré, Pierre Yovanovitch, François Champsaur, Studio KO, Rodolphe Parente, Aline Asmar d’Amman, and Marion Mailaender. Competitors are tasked with creating a living space in a Mediterranean house, which will be produced with the assistance of the Festival and its partners. Several exhibitions are scheduled in Toulon, in addition to the projects of the ten candidates, defining a route through the city: a heritage exhibition, a photography exhibition, an exhibition on exceptional craftsmanship, etc. The exhibitions of the 10 interior architects in competition are at the heart of the festival, gathered in the historic center of the city, within the former bishop’s palace of Toulon, at 69 cours Lafayette.
