Rules

General Criteria

The competition is open to designers aged 18 and over.
It is not necessary to create your brand to participate in the contest.
The competition does not impose any theme or category for the collections.
The competition covers fashion accessories such as shoes, glasses, jewellery, bags, leather goods, hats, wigs, scarves, belts, gloves, etc.
Applications from duos are accepted. Applications from more than two people are not eligible.
Submitted collections must not have received an award in another competition in France at the time of application.
The collections presented must not be the result of a commercial order for a brand other than your own.
Collections may have been developed during a creative residency or supported by a school or public/private institution (if authorised by the funding organisation).

Please note that pre-selection is now based solely on a digital dossier submitted online.
Only candidates selected for Step 2 may send their prototype and printed dossier.

The ten designers selected by the jury must commit to:

  • Participating in the collective exhibition at Villa Noailles, curated by the Festival
  • Presenting their work orally to the jury
  • Presenting their work orally to professionals and festival attendees
  • Accepting the jury’s decisions regarding award nominations
  • Accepting the prize allocations and their implementation in 2027

The competition consists of three stages:

  • Pre-selection – online dossier submitted by 15 December 2025 at the latest
  • Official selection – printed dossier and a prototype of the collection presented must be sent by January 5, 2026 at the latest
  • Festival participation – preparation from the end of January 2026, festival from 15 to 18 October 2026

The jury will meet during January 2026 to select the 10 candidates who will take part in the festival.
Results will be announced live on social media @villanoailles, then on the website villanoailles.com.

The organisation will communicate the official results announcement date at the beginning of January 2026.
