Rules

General Criteria

The competition is open to designers aged 18 and over.
It is not necessary to create your brand to participate in the contest.
There is no imposed theme or genre for the collections.
Applications submitted by duos are accepted. Applications involving more than two people are not eligible.
Collections submitted must not have received any awards in another competition in France at the time of application.
The collections presented must not be the result of a commercial order for a brand other than your own.
Collections submitted may have been created during a residency or received support from a school, public, or private institution (if authorised by the funding body).

Please note that the preselection process now takes place exclusively based on a digital application submitted online.
Only candidates selected for Step 2 will be able to send their prototype and printed portfolio.

The ten designers selected by the jury will be required to:

  • Take part in the group exhibition at Villa Noailles, curated by the Festival
  • Participate in the fashion show in Hyères, under the artistic direction of the Festival
  • Create a garments for the Awards
  • Present their work orally before the jury
  • Present their work orally before professionals and festival visitors
  • Accept the jury’s decisions regarding prize nominations
  • Accept the prizes and their implementation in 2027

The competition consists of three stages:

  • Preselection – online application submitted no later than 15 December 2025
  • Official selection – printed portfolio sent no later than 5 January 2026
  • Participation in the festival – preparation from the end of January 2026, festival from 15 to 18 October 2026

The jury will meet in January 2026 to select the ten candidates who will participate in the festival.
The results will be announced live on the @villanoailles social media channels, and then published on the website villanoailles.com.
The organisation will announce the exact date of the official results release in early January 2026.
