This collection of soft linen and ceramic brushes is inspired by the Japanese tradition Ōsōji, observed in homes during the last days of December. Its principle is simple: it’s all about dusting off your interior to put regrets and negative experiences behind you, and thus make a fresh start. Often considered trivial, the brush is an essential maintenance object for our domestic spaces: it renews them, sanitises them, and preserves a fulfilling living environment.
Ōsōji is a collection of brushes developed using sober, sensitive materials: linen and stoneware, faceted using Shinogi, a traditional Japanese ceramic technique. The plant fibres make up the brush and the braided link that sews it to the handle. Each model is adapted to a particular gesture or body shape.
Ōsōji invites us to slow down, to re-establish a strong connection with the objects that surround us, and to reflect on how we inhabit the world.
