Phronimidae
The Phronimidae collection redefines the way we adorn ourselves, highlight our attributes and express our personality. Traditionally, jewellery is worn for decorative purposes, to embellish and seduce. This collection transcends simple ornamentation.
Inspired by the desire to stand out and offering an alternative to permanent body modifications such as tattoos or piercings, this collection facilitates temporary and reversible transformations; it suggests a new perspective on jewellery and the way we wear it.
The intriguing pieces combine a dark and provocative aesthetic with organic and mechanical elements. Bold creations with sleek designs break the mould, like sculptural jewellery to wear. The designs are inspired by almost animalistic forms: bones, insects and tusks.
Focusing on the mouth, the expressive centre of the face characterised by its flexibility, the pieces play with facial expressions and distortions. Each piece of jewellery is made of rhodium-plated silver, a biocompatible, hypoallergenic and corrosion-resistant material.
Phronimidae offers a new way of wearing and appreciating jewellery, merging art and body transformation.
