Malo Gagliardini

La vie aquatique is a kitchen conceived as a gentle tension between action and contemplation. It is built around a chromatic dialogue between the deep ochre of Provençal terracotta tiles and touches of green evoking the sea, vegetation, and laboratory glassware. The space is divided into two zones : on one side, a kitchen-laboratory where tiles define the worktop, niches, and protrusions, hosting mobile burners, glass containers, and custom-cast aluminum utensils ; on the other, a slightly elevated platform with a single chair and a round table – a quieter, more meditative space. The whole is punctuated with bas-reliefs inspired by marine iconography, blending imagined scientific references, organic forms, and industrial poetry.
