The Temperarium is a Mediterranean living room that looks to the near future, which is being disrupted by rising temperatures and a considerable increase in the cost of energy. In these conditions, interior design involves creating a temperate atmosphere, using autonomous energy sources. Exposure to the sun is a source of extreme perspiration, but it also allows us to capture its energy. In this conflict, the living space is structured by new elements and relationships that combine the domestic, the technical and the aesthetic. In order to limit heat transfer, reflective multi-layer insulation has been used to pad the walls; this allows the photovoltaic blinds to be lowered, the natural light to be reflected and the need for artificial lighting to be delayed. The aerolustre, an oversized suspended air blower, lowers the temperature felt through the movement of air and is powered by three new photovoltaic devices: blinds, a coffee table and a wall composition. In this way, each of the elements (floor, walls, ceiling) is treated as a whole, with synergy and energy.
