I wake up but you’re not there
The series was produced on an isolated farm, bringing together seven female artists. It explores the sisterhood that developed during the residency and the spectral dimension that inhabits the place and these women. Staged like living tableaux, the protagonists evolve in harmony with their surroundings. In the evening, they recount the faded legends of the place, the suicide of the former owner, the surrounding lake, an infinite source of myths, which gives the place a mystical and sacred character. They embody the beings who once occupied the place, now gone. An image of disappearance and the quest for memory recounted in stories that endure, this series seeks to convey the materiality of a place and the translation of an emotional interiority embodied by the women who once inhabited it.
