This project transforms a living space into an observatory overlooking the landscape of Villa Noailles. Taking the window as its starting point, the space blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior and invites contemplation of the rhythms of the Mediterranean region.
Rooted in the Var region, the color palette, derived from local resources and vegetable dyes, is conceived as a living phenomenon, evolving with time, light, and use. Materials and colors thus become sensitive surfaces, capable of recording the passage of time.
The dimensions and proportions of this layout are based on an analysis of the site, using geographical and meteorological data—topography, sunshine, prevailing winds, rainfall—and play a key role in anchoring the project in its environment.
The living space is defined as a space for contemplation, where structure, materials, and landscape interact to offer a way of living and observing.
