Used To Be
For this collection, most of the outfits are made from broken umbrellas, carefully selected from flea markets, second-hand shops and local vintage platforms. These discarded items have been meticulously deconstructed and reinvented to serve as the basis for new designs. Part of the collection is also inspired by circular shapes, made from unsold fabrics or fabrics sourced from renewable production.
Rooted in experimental pattern design and committed to sustainable development, the collection transforms vintage, handcrafted and unique umbrellas, each with its own story, into contemporary pieces imbued with memories and emotions.
The collection is based on the principle of a wardrobe composed of timeless garments and criteria. The woman who embodies this collection is multifaceted, carrying within her a whole range of identities: the intellectual owner of an art gallery, the sophisticated collector of archival pieces, the boss with a strong sense of style, the laid-back party girl, the graceful dancer, the supermodel, the artist. All these personalities coexist within her.
Some are dressed in multi-layered coats, asymmetrical draped tops and tailored suits with meticulous details. Others wear trompe l’oeil jeans, sculptural skirts shaped by precise darts or delicate silk halter necks. There are also fringed dresses and thick oversized jackets. Many accessories are made from umbrella parts, such as handles transformed into bags or metal tips turned into necklaces and earrings.
