Monoprix x villa Noailles - Les Crafties

MONOPRIX PRESENTS: LES CRAFTIES

Discovered during the 2018 Design Parade Toulon organized by Villa Noailles,
the design duo Les Crafties, now based in Sète, blurs the boundaries between
art, craftsmanship, and design by treating patterns as an ode to handcrafting
and creating environments imbued with artistic sensibility.
By reconciling the decorative with the functional, it is primarily through the
reuse of textiles that they craft maximalist murals in rich, sunny color palettes.
Partnering for the third consecutive year, Monoprix and villa Noailles
have invited them to design a comprehensive home collection, infused
with a universal and colorful southern flair. Inspired by the balconies and
garden furniture of the 1950s, this collection plays with the codes of DIY,
craftsmanship, and clean industry—practices the duo has embraced since
their beginnings. The patterns are expressed across all materials, breaking free
from their medium to come to life as everyday objects.
