An independent photographer, a member of the Hans Lucas studio since 2018, Théo Giacometti lives and works in Marseille. His work is mainly centred on social and environmental issues. Curious about the social and human mechanisms shaping our society, he is interested in numerous worlds and enjoys sharing and telling the stories he goes through, in images and through narratives. Several media outlets published his work : The Guardian, The New York Times, Libération, Le Monde, The Washington Post, Courrier International, Télérama, Society, L’Humanité, Les Inrocks, Reporters Sans Frontière… He regularly collaborates with CHANEL, Leica, Le Ballet national de Marseille, Orange and the Fondation de France. He is the winner of the Ministry of Culture’s grant : “Monde nouveaux” (“ New Worlds ”). His first novel Puisque chante la nuit, published in 2013 by AO - André Odemard Editions, won the French National Assembly Medal. The short story collection ¡Adios Espana! was published in 2018. The villa Noailles commissioned the photographer to take portraits of artists invited this year to the Design Parade.
