TECTONA PRIZE
As the leading maker of outdoor furniture, Tectona supports the Design
Parade Hyères festival with the creation of the Tectona Design Parade Prize
in 2023. Within the framework of this partnership, ten designer candidates
will be invited to imagine an outdoor table on the theme “Summer meal”.
The only technical constraint: use metal or a natural rot-proof material.
Each candidate will produce a 1:3 scale model in a simple material (wood,
cardboard, paper), with financial support from Tectona.
The ten models will be exhibited at the Villa Noailles from 28th June to 1st of
Spetember 2024.
The jury, guided by the technical advice of Jean-Yves Grandfils, head of the
Tectona workshop and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, will choose the winner
who will receive 5,000 euros.
The Tectona Design Parade Award is a new page in the history of Tectona’s
involvement in French cultural creation and offers garden furniture design
the recognition it so richly deserves.
For the 2025 edition, the list of prizes mentioned above is subject to change.
