The Standard MAN
This collection draws inspiration from German men of the 1980s and 1990s, imagining masculinity through subtle provocations. I wanted to challenge fragile gender norms by introducing feminine elements into men’s clothing without stripping them of their masculine identity.
Rather than dressing men in overtly feminine clothing, I retained the archetypes of men’s fashion and redefined them using unconventional materials, such as lace transformed into structured, waterproof fabric. This approach reflects my exploration of the hidden desires and vulnerabilities that lie beneath the surface of uniforms, work clothes, and suits—symbols of public identity that often conceal intimate realities.
By incorporating fragility, sensuality and strength, I seek to reveal a buried beauty. Through colours, textures and placements, I create garments that challenge conventions while remaining grounded in reality, celebrating masculinity that is multifaceted, tender and powerful.
