FASHION with GAËLLE LANG HALLOO

Winner of the Public Prize, City of Hyères – 39th International Festival of Fashion, Photography, and Accessories – Hyères 2024.
Ages 13–16

Princes(ses) of the City
This workshop invites participants to create a harmonious collection by exploring three iconic elements of a lord’s attire: gloves, crowns, and capes. The aim is to merge street culture with references to French history while reflecting on the question: What message do we want to convey through our creations?

Gaëlle Lang Halloo is a French designer based in Berlin. She combines her passions for football and fashion with preppy and streetwear influences to create unique pieces. After studying at ESAAT in Roubaix, Gaëlle built an eclectic career in ready-to-wear and sportswear between France and Germany, notably with Puma. In 2023, she took on the design leadership at Mikuta, a Berlin-based brand, while also launching her own projects. Her collection Abseits, winner of the Public Prize at the 39th International Festival of Fashion, Photography, and Accessories – Hyères, perfectly illustrates Gaëlle’s vision.

As a woman in the fashion industry, she feels an urgent need to make her voice heard and offer a different narrative. Her ambition: to create pieces that transcend boundaries between sophistication and the everyday, challenging the conventions of streetwear.

PHOTOGRAPHY with CLÉMENT BOUDET

Winner of the Public Prize, City of Hyères – 39th International Festival of Fashion, Photography, and Accessories – Hyères 2024.
Ages 8–12

For these “Pitchouns” workshops, I aim to introduce children to photography in a fun way, prioritising creativity and self-expression over technical skills. I started photography myself with a phone, snapping pictures of anything and everything. Every moment, every detail caught my attention, and I wanted to immortalise them.

When I bought my first camera, I felt a bit lost, not knowing how to use it properly. I would simply press the button to capture an image, paying no attention to settings or technique. It was a time when instinct and wonder outweighed mastery, and this approach nurtured my passion for photography. Over time, I began to understand the technical aspects.

Above all, I want these workshops to be fun, encouraging children to follow their ideas within the architectural and natural surroundings of Villa Noailles. We’ll start with a photo marathon, then explore movement and freedom, finishing the session with a “Photographic Dixit” inspired by the board game.

Clément Boudet is a French photographer recently graduated from a photography school in Montpellier as a “practicing photographer.” Passionate about photography, he explores the world and its people in search of new images and encounters. He recently won the Public Prize at the 39th International Festival of Fashion, Photography, and Accessories in Hyères with his series Miroir.

DESIGN with SIMON STANISLAWSKI

Winner of the Children’s Prize - Design Parade Hyères 2024
Ages 13–16

The Open Foam Session at Hyères is a performative research project. Participants are invited to use methods, materials, and tools I’ve developed in an open environment. Together, we will explore the potential of foam modelling, transforming it into functional or abstract creations – from shelves, handbags, hats, slippers, vases, jackets, and stools to something entirely unexpected.

The following statement is as flat as it is true: the journey is as important as the result, which remains deliberately uncertain.

Simon Stanislawski lives and works as an artist and designer in Berlin and Hamburg. His work focuses on three things: fun, fun, and more fun. He is passionate about blending traditional furniture design with innovative and ecological practices, as well as sculptural freedom and the political aspects of art.

Simon’s expertise lies in experimenting with sheet materials like metal and wood, but his recent fascination with foam has led him to explore unconventional paths. He is the co-founder of the Hamburg-based design duo SMS-PM and the Berlin collective und.studio. In 2023, he completed his Master of Fine Arts in the class of Konstantin Grcic at the HfbK Hamburg.

In 2024, his work was featured in group exhibitions in Munich, Copenhagen, and as a finalist at the Design Parade Festival in Hyères.

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE with ALICE ROUX and MATTIA LISTOWSKI

Winner of the Children’s Prize - Design Parade Toulon 2024
Ages 8–12

Action! Cut! Rolling at Villalaland!
In this workshop, children will become creators of a real film set. Using simple materials like cardboard, fabric, wood, paint, or foam, they will create sets, props, and costumes to bring stories to life. It’s a team journey into the world of architecture and cinema.

Through clever tricks and boundless creativity, anything is possible – let the show begin!

Alice Roux is an artist and designer drawing from the traditions of painted furniture to create her furniture-tableaux. Straddling art and functionality, she crafts reversible or modular objects. Alice also explores colour and composition through large-scale artworks in painted wood or fabric.

Mattia Listowski, a visual artist, sculpts narrative architectures in concrete, capturing them with a large-format film camera. His work intertwines formal language, architectural techniques, conceptual approaches, industrial expertise, and craftsmanship. It evokes a romantic, anthropological, and picturesque journey, where ephemeral light dialogues with eternal stone.
