Botter

Our collections are like a diary for us, it is always very much attached to our personal situation. We have now moved to Paris, abruptly taken out of our student lives and finding ourselves in the middle of the world of French luxury.
Being able to adapt to situations and finding our way to express our creativity whilst achieving balance between the high-end avenue Montaigne and coming back to real life with Botter. While we reflect, we see the same situation in young Caribbeans, and all of the refugees around the world, who have to adapt to situations that are different to what they are used to back home.
For example, one simple thing is the change in the climate, which we take for granted, but for them it is a cultural clash. And so we see how they deal with this in a creative way, protecting themselves against the weather with their summer wardrobe.
You can also find this in the pollution of the sea, how sealife cannot find their natural homes — like shells — anymore, so they are forced to use plastic bottle caps for example.
This is a tragically poetic image of what is happening in the world today.
Which sums up what we are going through as humans as well.
